PROJECT SUMMARY
The aim of the project is to supply Man-Made River drinking water to the city of Zliten and the surrounding residential areas without disturbing the existing supply system (seawater desalination plant and other pumping and storage facilities), so the old supply system still could be used as a backup during emergencies. The project contained the detailed design of 600mm dia. Duct iron pipeline 7.0 km, and 30,000 m3 concrete water tank to be used as storage and buffer. The engineering work also included the detail design for 300mm & 250mm transporters pipelines to the surrounding residential areas, with all necessarily structures.
