PROJECT SUMMARY
The Project deals with making new water master plans to supply more than 25 towns and villages west of Benghazi from Man-Made River Project , and increase the water supply to Benghazi and other towns as (Saluq) and (Gamines) thru new pipe mains. The project comprises hydraulic analysis deals with at least 200 kilometres of transporters pipelines (pumping and gravity) with different diameters starting from 1000mm down to 150mm. The estimated construction cost of the project is over 150 million Libyan Dinars. NHEC project task also contains the following design features:
o Complete design for two sets of pump Stations, with a capacity of 43,000 m³/day & 10,000 m³/day.
o Complete design for Ø700mm pressure D.I. pipe, 30Km in length & Ø400mm pressure D.I. pipe, 14Km in length, with all necessarily structures (chambers and thrust blocks).
o Complete design for storage/buffer concrete water tank, with a capacity of 100,000 m³.
o Complete design for a group of concrete water tanks with different capacities : 20,000 m³/ 5000 m³/ 2,500 m³/ 1500 m³/ 500 m³.
